How a Customer Request Sparked a Whole New Product

One of the best parts about running a small business is getting to talk with the people who use and love what we make.

Those conversations often turn into inspiration.

A while back, a customer asked if we could create a flamingo charm for our clouds. I loved the idea immediately — flamingos are playful, bright, and so much fun.

There was just one problem.

I couldn’t quite picture a flamingo floating in the clouds.

But the idea stuck with me.

Instead of putting the flamingo in the clouds, we gave it a new home — your houseplants.

And just like that, our first Plick™ was born: a tiny lawn flamingo designed to live in a plant pot.

That small spark turned into an entirely new product line.

What Are Plicks?

Plicks are playful decorations designed specifically for plants.

They’re easy to add, easy to swap out, and an instant way to give your favorite greenery a little extra personality.

The easiest way for me to describe them is this:

They’re like stickers for your plants — except they don’t mind dirt or water.

Each Plick is designed and 3D printed by The Cloud Makers using PLA, a plant-based bioplastic. They’re lightweight, durable, and made in small batches with the same care and creativity as our clouds.

Because they’re plastic, Plicks can even live happily in terrariums or humid environments, making them perfect for everything from succulents to tropical plants.
